❓ Frequently Asked Questions About Botox & Filler Training in Chicago

Is the Chicago Botox and filler course CME accredited?

Yes. The online module included with your Chicago registration is CME accredited and accepted in Illinois for physicians (AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™), nurse practitioners (AANP contact hours), physician assistants (AAPA reciprocity), and registered nurses (ANCC contact hours). PracticalCME has offered accredited botulinum toxin and dermal filler training since 2014, and the curriculum includes pharmacology hours that count toward NP and RN continuing education requirements in states that mandate them. This upgraded accreditation replaces the AAFP accreditation on June 1, 2026 and beyond.

Who teaches the Chicago Botox training, and where is the hands-on held?

Both the online course and the live hands-on in Chicago are taught by Gregory Zengo, MD, PracticalCME’s medical director with over 1.5 million units of neurotoxin injected and 22 years of dermal filler experience. The Chicago hands-on takes place at the AC Hotel Chicago Downtown, centrally located and accessible by all major public transit lines. The downtown location is convenient for attendees from across the Chicagoland area, the North Shore, the western suburbs, and the broader Midwest including Wisconsin and Northern Indiana.

What Botox and filler indications does the Chicago course cover?

The curriculum covers 11 botulinum toxin treatment areas: glabellar lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, platysma bands, brow lift, DAO lip corners, upper lip “lip flip”, chin dimpling, gummy smile, bunny lines, and facial slimming. For dermal fillers, you learn treatment design for nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lip design (border and body injections), and peri-oral applications. All six FDA-approved neuromodulator formulations are reviewed, including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, Daxxify, and Letybo. No separate “advanced” or “Level 2” course is needed.

How many students are in each Chicago Botox class, and what product is included?

Each Chicago hands-on session has an average of 4 students with a maximum of 6, ensuring one-on-one time with Dr. Zengo during live injection. Your tuition includes 20 units of Botox and up to 1 cc of Juvederm Ultra XC hyaluronic acid filler for supervised injection on a patient you bring. Additional product for extra hands-on can be purchased upon request at below-retail prices.

Can I add PRP and microneedling certification on the same day in Chicago?

Yes. PracticalCME’s Chicago schedule offers Botox and dermal filler hands-on in the morning starting at 8am, followed by Regenerative Aesthetics (PRP and microneedling) in the afternoon. The 4-Procedure FAST TRACK® bundle gives you up to four procedure certifications and 23 contact hours in a single Saturday at a significant discount over registering separately. 0% financing through Affirm is available at checkout.

What do I complete before attending the live Chicago hands-on date?

You complete the self-paced online course at your own pace before your hands-on date in Chicago. You receive instant access the moment you register, so many attendees start learning the same evening. Our blended dual-certification online + live training leads the industry. As a result, PracticalCME has earned an average of 4.8 stars in reviews from actual attendees since our first blended FAST TRACK Botox Training Course was held in 2014. In addition, we have paired up our Botox and Dermal Filler Training with Cosmetic Platelet-Rich Plasma Training (PRP) or Microneedling Training, so that you can certify in multiple in-demand procedures on the same live training date.

Why are Chicago Botox Training PracticalCME Graduates More Successful?

Our Botox Training Course focuses on customizing the treatment plan to the patient’s own movement, and never follows a “cookbook” approach. For example, we teach a different dilution and precise muscle identification techniques so you can truly isolate the true cause of the patient’s wrinkles and effectively stop the clock on their aging process even on your first few patients, without having to see the patient back for touch-up treatments. The online course material drills these techniques home with additional treatment videos demonstrating the best technique prior to your live hands-on training class.

Our Dermal Filler Training Course curriculum focuses on using less product but at the proper depth to achieve the most natural filling of static folds and wrinkles of the face, in addition to the most natural lip reinflation techniques. Moreover, you will be impressed with the results when simply using the right technique and depth at your supervised hands-on treatment session. Their folds and wrinkles will disappear before your eyes while your patient remains comfortable.

As a result, PracticalCME has heard from many RN’s who took our training and taught their supervising physicians a few things upon return to the office.
