Who Attends This Course
Physicians (MD/DO), nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and dentists licensed to perform injectable aesthetic procedures within their state scope of practice. Many attendees are new to injectables and starting a medspa practice. Others are experienced injectors seeking formal CME credentials for liability insurance, hospital credentialing, or medspa employment. The maximum class size of 5 students ensures each attendee receives individual MD supervision through every injection.
Who Teaches in Atlanta
Live hands-on training in Atlanta is led by Gregory Zengo, MD, PracticalCME’s founder and lead medical director since 2008. Dr. Zengo has 24 years of botulinum toxin injection experience, trained by Dr. Jean Carruthers in 2001 (the physician who first identified the cosmetic application of botulinum toxin). Dr. Zengo also teaches the online curriculum that pairs with your Atlanta hands-on date, so you have the same MD instructor across the online and live portions of the course and the same instructor available for two years of post-training clinical support.
Travel to Atlanta
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is the world’s busiest airport with direct flights from every major U.S. metro. Our Atlanta clinical training site is accessible from ATL by rideshare, rental car, or MARTA rail connections. Attendees traveling from out of state typically arrive Friday evening and depart Sunday morning. Many combine training weekend with time to explore Atlanta’s medical and aesthetic district.
The ACCME Triple Accreditation Advantage
As of June 1, 2026, PracticalCME’s Atlanta Botox and Filler training is ACCME triple-accredited, awarding direct contact hours in three accreditation systems simultaneously: AMA Category 1 Credit for physicians and PAs, AANP contact hours including dedicated pharmacology hours for nurse practitioners, and ANCC contact hours including pharmacotherapeutic hours for registered nurses. These are direct credit hours in each system, not equivalency conversion credits. For NPs and RNs who face state board requirements for pharmacology-specific continuing education, the 4.7 and 4.75 pharmacology hours satisfy those requirements in a single course.
Course Access and Credit Policy
Course login and password are delivered via email shortly after order completion. The online component must be completed and passed prior to the live hands-on date. Online course access and free updates continue for two years from purchase. The live hands-on certificate is issued at the completion of the training day.
