Accreditation
CME Credits for certain PracticalCME courses have been approved for Prescribed Credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 CreditT toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. The specific number of credits for each course is listed with each course description.
PRACTICAL CME Policies and Procedures
- COURSE REGISTRATION
- Whether you register online, via fax, phone, or mail, you will receive a confirmation email for your registration. Keep this confirmation in a safe place. If you do not receive a confirmation within 14 business days, please call our office.
- Seats at each conference and hands-on session are limited, so book early.
- Walk-up (same-day) registration will be allowed on a space-available basis. There is an additional $100 administrative fee for this service.
- Only paid registrants are allowed in the conference room and at lunch. If you want a member of your family or office staff to attend the conference lunch, email or call us for details on how to purchase additional meal vouchers.
- While this has never happened, PracticalCME reserves the right to cancel any class that has 3 or fewer registrants 21 days before the course is scheduled to be taught.
- TRAINING PATIENTS FOR PAID SCLEROTHERAPY HANDS-ON SESSIONS
- If you register for any of the paid sclerotherapy hands-on sessions, you are responsible to bring your own patient to treat in your practice sessions. The patient will be asked to sign our consent form giving permission to be treated and for other attendees to watch the session.
- If you are unsure if your patient will be appropriate as a training patient, feel free to email digital photos of the areas to us at md@PracticalCME.com (You are responsible for obtaining HIPAA-compliant consent from the patient before sending the images to us).
- CANCELLATION BY ATTENDEE, TRANSFER OF REGISTRATION
- No refunds will be given for a course once a paid registration/order is made. This includes Hands-On Liposuction and all video courses.
- Participants who cannot attend a course are encouraged to notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made 14 days before the course will be issued a credit for each course cancelled less a $100 administrative fee per cancelled course. This credit can be used for future courses sponsored by PracticalCME for a period of 12 months from the date of the cancellation. Cancellations made 13 or fewer days before the start of the course will result in forfeiture of all fees paid for the course and any hands-on training sessions.
- A course registration may be transferred to another practitioner without penalty. This may be done in writing no later than 10 days before the start time of the course.
- CANCELLATION OF A COURSE BY PracticalCME
- In the unlikely event PracticalCME cancels a course, a full refund of the tuition and any fees for hands-on training associated with the cancelled course will be issued to the enrollee. PracticalCME is not responsible for reimbursement due to non-refundable hotel rooms, airfares, or other travel expenses affected by such a cancellation.
- PracticalCME is not responsible for weather delays, acts of God, labor disputes or other circumstances beyond our control which might disrupt your ability to attend a course for which you were registered.
- CERTIFICATION
- While our courses offer the latest information and effective treatment protocols, proficiency in the procedure learned requires a thorough understanding of the course syllabus and practice of the procedure over time. Completion of the course and the rewarding of CME credits in no way grants any guarantee or certification by PracticalCME and its instructors of the enrollee's skills in performing the procedure.
- CUSTOMIZABLE OFFICE FORMS AGREEMENT
- Use of the customizable office forms are bound by the following agreement: I understand that I have limited rights for the use of the information contained on the CD. All forms and photos are for use only by the course registrant and may not be transferred or resold. Photos may be used for patient education and in-office marketing by the physician. No forms or photos may be mass-distributed to the general public or published over the Internet. The physician shall not claim that any photos are his/her actual treated patients. I understand that the photos I receive on the CD will contain a small watermark that will not detract from the photo's educational value. All forms included on the CD are starting guidelines and are designed to be customized further by the physician. Some forms including, but not limited to, contracts, consents, and arbitration agreements may not be legal in your state. I understand that these forms do not constitute legal advice and I hold PracticalCME, LLC and/or Gregory P. Zengo, MD harmless from any legal action against me or losses as a direct or indirect result of the use of these forms. I understand that I will not use any consent, arbitration, or patient contract forms in my practice until I have had them reviewed by an experienced attorney in my state.
- GUARANTEE
- If after taking a course, the enrollee is unable to implement the service into practice after reviewing the syllabus and treating some initial patients, the enrollee may re-take the same course one time for an administrative fee of $150. This applies only to the lecture portion of the course. Hands-on training may be repeated for the regular fee. This guarantee is good for 12 months after the completion of the initial course. A purchased live course may be re-taken as a video course, or a purchased video course may be re-taken as a live course. The same $150 fee applies in either instance.
